ICCC'2007 Workshop

ASR´2007 Seminar (as an International Workshop for the ICCC'07) will be in progress after a student conference STOC on April 27, 2007, in the congress hall on VSB-TUO campus in Ostrava, ul. 17. listopadu, Ostrava - Poruba.

The workshop is seen as a working forum for information exchange and discussion. Its format should therefore be set up as presentations by specialists as well as young researchers, followed by in-depth discussion according to the stated objectives. It is therefore necessary to invite both academic and industrial specialists as presenters. It is the intention to ensure that young researchers from both developed and developing economies are participating.

The overall theme of the workshop should be corporate information integration and support for Product Life-cycle Management (PLM). An emphasis will be on the development and use of Information Processing (IP) methods and techniques in order to emphasise the roles of the main sponsors of the event namely, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Department of Control Systems and Instrumentation. and The Iternational Federation of Information Processing (IFIP).

  • The following specialist domains will be targeted:
    • Process and Production Control
    • Product and Process Design
    • Production Scheduling and Planning
    • Collaborative Product Realisation
    • Supply Chain Management and Quality Systems
    • Supply chain outsourcing and product development possibilities and problems between developed and developing world
  • The Workshop is connected to the tradition of specialised conferences, seminars and workshops with foreign participants, held at VSB-TU Ostrava since 1976 under the title of Seminar ASR.
  • It creates an opportunity for both experienced practicioners and young researchers to present and discuss their research and scientific results.
  • The 12th international competition of students work - Student Conference STOC 2007 will be in progress in the same time and it will enable the establishing of contact with talented students in the fields of Automation, Informatics, and Control.
  • It enables the exchange of experience from design and implementation of actual application in control theory and industrial product design and manufacturing practice.
  • The Programme Committee will honour the three best Ph.D. students’ papers with a special award.
