Description of material review

Every material which is registered for ICCC 2005 must go through a review process. During this process state of the material is followed by the registration system.

For every material there is a responsible person who is informed about material state changes and asked to resend material's file if it is needed. The responsible person will be that participant who has registered the material.

See diagram of possible states:

Description of material states

First of all a material must be registered which makes the material to starting none state.

After the registration ICCC organization staff checks the file of the material for existance, readablity, proper fonts and formatting, etc. This check can have two results. Submitted state means that the uploaded file is OK and ready for the review. Need_resend state means that something is wrong with the file and it must be corrected and uploaded again.

If a material becomes submitted then organization staff needs to ask a reviewer to review the material. When this step is done, the material gets reviewer_asked state. If asked reviewer refuses then this step needs to be repeated until a reviewer accepts material for review. When this happens the material becomes to review state.

After the review the reviewer makes a decision which changes material's state to one of the following ones:

accept_lecture:
material is accepted as a lecture. Please note that reviewer can change conference section where this material should be presented.
accept_poster:
material is accepted but will appear as a poster, it can not be presented as a lecture. Reviewer can redefine conference section.
rejected:
material is not accepted, it can not be presented in any form.
need_rewrite:
reviewer asks the reponsible person to make some changes. Responsible must resend material's file to review it again.
