Message of the Chairman

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the International Carpathian Control Conference, I have great pleasure to welcome You to the 6th International Carpathian Control Conference, ICCC'2005.

It is an excellent opportunity to meet scientists and engineers from all over the world, to exchange new ideas and results with colleagues, to provide presentations, discussions, lectures, to attract more young scientists from different countries into research movement.

During the 3 days the Conference offers You 2 keynote presentations, over 100 lecture presentations, and more than 100 dialogue presentations as well as the tutorials. Exhibitions also are foreseen at the Conference.

In contrast to the previous Conferences held in High Tatras, this Conference is taking place on the meeting point of the Garadna and Szinva valley, on the side of the Hámori Lake in Miskolc-Lillafüred situated in the Bükk mountains. The name of Lillafüred associated with the beautifully furnished Palace Hotel built between 1927 and 1930 according to the plan of Lux Kálmán. The hotel is surrounded by a terraced hanging garden and a huge park. The Szinva valley with its romantic beauty and the Hámori Lake can be seen from the park, the terraces and rooms of the hotel. Because of its silence and calmness it is the best place for rest and research. But at the same time Miskolc is a modern city having all opportunities for organization of big conferences. It is very accessible by an international airports (Budapest, Kosice), linked with the main European towns, by motorways and railways. Miskolc and Hungary as a whole are rich with natural and folklore beauty, marvellous old cities. Lillafüred will ensure a charming environment to accommodate a conference like ICCC 2005.

In conclusion I would like to express our gratitude to the members of Organizing Committee who do their best to prepare such a splendid event.

I hope You will enjoy your stay in Miskolc-Lillafüred, at ICCC 2005 Conference.

Sincerely Yours

Conference General Chairman
